Due to the “Stay-at-Home” order of the State of Michigan, our office is closed until the order is lifted. You can still register for classes, or if you have questions, please call 1-517-546-6427 or email us at www.autoxlmichigan@yahoo.com You can click on “Schedule” to see our up coming class dates and times.

The Michigan Secretary of State has given driving schools the option of an “Online Virtual Classroom“.  At this time Auto XL has decided not to hold virtual classes for a few reasons:  The virtual class will not allow the student to successfully complete the course online and receive a certificate of completion. Upon completion of the virtual class, the student will still need to complete a one week refresher course and pass the State of Michigan written exam in a classroom setting.  Also the student will not be able to complete the 6 hours of Behind – The- Wheel instruction until the “Stay-at Home” order has been lifted.  Auto XL Driving School, as well as the State of Michigan Secretary of State, has always stressed the importance of in class instruction and Behind-The-Wheel instruction being taught together. Students that complete a virtual class may have to wait several weeks to complete the classroom portion and Behind-The-Wheel instruction. We do not feel this is a positive benefit for our students.

We have extended our “YEARLY SPECIAL”!!! Segment 1 is $270 and Segment 2 is FREE with full payment of $270 by Monday April 13, 2020. You can click on “Schedule” for more information as well as class dates and times.

Auto XL Driving School is a Michigan based company and has been serving the community since 1994. Our instructors are licensed and certified by the State of Michigan to teach Teen Driver’s Education. In addition to state certification our instructors are certified to teach the Michigan Basic Driver Improvement Course.

Auto XL Driving School uses the nationally renowned ADTSEA classroom curriculum, which is recommended by the State of Michigan. The exams that each student will need to pass in order to complete Segment 1 and Segment 2 are created by the State of Michigan and are based on the ADTSEA program. We also provide each student with our own study guide geared towards the ADSTEA program and the classroom manual How to Drive by the AAA foundation. Our instructors instill the fundamentals of driving to our students as well as the knowledge that driving is an adult privilege that is earned and needs to be respected.
